2.04.010 - Created.

The position of borough administrator is created, and the employment of a borough administrator is authorized.


10.32.020 - Tow away zones.

A.

Tow Away Zone. Any vehicle parked or standing as to obstruct or impede a normal flow of traffic; block entrances, or exit ways, loading zones, any grass area or pedestrian walkways; or present in any way a safety or traffic hazard in a designated tow away zone may be removed by towing the vehicle at the owner's or operator's expense.


10.05.010 - Purpose and intent.

The purpose and intent of the ordinance codified in this chapter is to establish pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(u), a list of towing contractors to provide towing services for the borough of Glen Ridge ("Borough") on a rotating basis, and to establish, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:48-2-49, regulations governing contractors engaged in the removal of motor vehicles, towing services, road services and towing of vehicles that are abandoned, disabled, illegally parked, recovered stolen, involved in motor vehicle crashes and/or suspected or identified by the borough as being involved in criminal activities.


9.08.030 - Obeying police officers.

It is unlawful for any person within the limits of the borough to refuse or fail to obey the lawful orders of any police officer, or exhibit his driver's license or registration certificate, while operating, or parking or sitting in a motor vehicle or in any way interfere with or obstruct a police officer in the performance of his/her duty.

  Another Life Lost to NJ Transit: When Will It End? Early Sunday morning, tragedy struck in Newark when an NJ Transit bus hit two pedestrians, leaving one dead and another seriously injured. According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the incident occurred at 12:18 a.m. on the 400 block of Springfield Avenue.
